Two guys fawning all over Danica McKellar was unbearable

I would have given this a 2 out of 10 rating but I decided to move my rating up two notches on the IMDB rating ladder for Hallmark's shallow intent at inclusiveness and being politically correct. It is about time that Hallmark and Lifetime were woke and realized that Christmas is celebrated by more than one color of snowflakes and Mr. and Mr. Claus without a Mrs. Claus in the picture is okay too.

As for this pictures story line I can only say that Lifetime has to fire their writers who have been in the industry for more than ten (10) years as they have become extremely lazy. Cut and paste from one older film into the next film seems to be the norm nowadays.

As for the two guys who are drooling all over Danica McKellar why do they always seem to appear at the same time and to buy their way into her bed? My answer to this mystery is "RUN". Run Forest run! Avoid Christmas She wrote unless you love Danica McKellar. After watching her latest film, I don't.

I give it a 4 out of 10 IMDB rating.

Christmas She Wrote

6/10 - awkward chemistry dampened the festivity of this Hallmark flick

This story gives a slightly different twist to columnist fired before Christmas. The new editor, Tripp finds out how popular Kayleigh was and his boss tells him to get her back or else. From there, that part of the story gets bogged down. It gets lip service, but until he makes a mistake that creates the conflict, the job issue isn't pursued very seriously. There's also an element of Christmas expert or coach in the story.

The writing and dialogue aren't great. I thought the story rambled with little purpose. I wasn't impressed with the climax or the ending. Both had predictable elements.

There are two rivals for Kayleigh, played by Danica McKellar. Dylan Neal plays trip, the editor. Dan Payne plays Dan, the ex who left Kayleigh to be a doctor in Hatti. I can't see what Kayleigh saw in either of them and McKellar had no chemistry with either. Neal gets little positive screen time since Dan practically stalks Kayleigh.

I've seen reviewers take offense at the gay male couple. That relationship is so laid back and without any physical affection, I don't understand what the fuss is about. I wasn't even sure they were going to be a couple until almost the end and then it was all talk.
