I remember seeing Closing Numbers soon after it was made but, although I may be wrong, the film never made it to general release and was for TV only.
The film itself is very powerful and highlights in a compassionate manner the struggles that thousands of couples must go through namely that one of the couple is actually Bisexual. This emotive subject is dealt with in a very sensitive manner and the story itself is extremely believable. All of the cast put up excellent performances.
If you are prepared to forgo your prejudices about AIDS, Homesexuality or Bisexuality then I would strongly recommend this film.
Anna and Keith have been happily married for several years. But things turn sour as Anna, investigating her suspicions that Keith has been having an affair, learns that he is bisexual. Anna is reluctantly forced into a world of homosexuality and AIDS as she is forced by circumstances to befriend her husband's lover and his dying friend Jim.
