I've never seen a film of Anita Mui's when she was still with us, so there is an air of poignancy, especially in a film like this. The story of two ladies, Michele (Anita Mui) and Miki (Junna Risa), meet on a tour bus in France and bond. This part of the film is great, they seem to have an affection for each other (not sexually). There is an interesting twist to this tale, in that Michele's husband has a mistress, who turns out to be, of course, Miki. How they play off this revelation is good, especially the betrayal in Michele's eyes. Both Ms. Mui and Ms. Risa are very pretty, and the cinematography of this film lends to the atmosphere, painting it gray, yellow etc. In the middle of the film, Miki gets abducted and Michele goes to the police. She is hell bent on finding her, and enlists help from a cab driver (this is in Morocco). I wondered how Moroccans felt watching this, their country is not looked at in a favorable light. I didn't expect the depth of this drama. I wanted to know the end way before it happened. Not a great film, it still held my interest throughout. RIP Ms. Anita Mui. You are really someone special.
