This movie really hype back in Indonesia, yet it's too overated. Honestly, i was expecting more considering the writer and the casts. Unfortunately it's just usual family drama, not even dramatic, the conflict is very shallow, plot very slow with anti climacs.

Too overated
Hit Too Close to Home
I'm confused where to begin, since this movie is so simple yet so complex.
I'll start with the theme, it is such a good theme. NKCTHI tries to point at the obvious problem within a family these days. That problem is "Everything is not always ok". They did this with the most basic of all basics, the key is COMMUNICATION. Yes, you read that right, they played their cards correctly, digging how communication is fundamental in a family and how a family will eventually self destruct with a bad communication skill.
The second card that they played correctly is how FAVORITISM is usually happened within a family with more than 1 child. They kept this problem and combined it with the communication problem that the main characters had, mixing and matching whilst throwing some past trauma that was kept secret this whole time.
This movie is a great one from technical aspect, how the color spectrum and the shots framed perfectly within each scene. They also have a great scoring, the OST Fine Today by Ardhito is so so good, but my favorite was the scene where Hindia's song was played, Gosh that scene is pure perfection.
The actors are also great at playing their own parts, although I would have preferred that the parents were played by the same actor, but oh well, can't have everything I guess.
I suggest you go watch it while it is still playing at the cinema, you won't regret it, even more so if you can relate to the story, you will feel the strong points of the movie with so much more enhanced experience.
What's the hype?
I don't know why this movie is so hype. It's just like an ordinary drama well, it's like television soap. That's it, nothing special and soo boring..
