I did watch a documentary about Bob Marley a while ago, but this documentary focuses on one particular time and place. And it is quite thorough I might add. While the one about Run DMC (or particular Jam Master Jay) was a bit shallow or not as comprehensive ... or even satisfying, this delivers, even when it leaves many questions unaswered.
You still get a feeling and you get a lot of quotes - some from people who still don't want to be identified ... you can only imagine how deep certain things go. So this is as much about Bob Marley as it is about politics. And while I will not claim that I'm a scholar of Marley or his work (like most I know the songs, now also have two documentaries to "brag" about), this is quite enticing and well researched. And it also is not too long - a fine short documentary to digest well ...
